At 0636, SFD Volunteers were alerted to a motor vehicle crash with fire on Forrest Road in West Rockhill Township. Multiple callers were reporting 1 vehicle that drove off the roadway, struck a tree, and had a fire in the engine compartment. Chief 27 arrived to find the vehicle fully involved and Engine 27-1 arrived to quickly extinguish the fire.

As a friendly reminder, please remember that cold mornings this time of year often times create a thick, dense fog that reduces visibility. Along with the fog, driving on wet leaves can be just as dangerous as driving on ice.
