1925 Hahn
(1938 Ford in background)
By 1925 fire apparatus continued to become more advanced and an article post by the News Herald during this time, suggests tension between the town and Fire Company. On June 9th during a meeting at the Sellersville playground, funding for a new pumper was a hot topic of discussion.
At the conclusion of this meeting, a fire tax was suggested over voluntary donations that was tried previously as "some of the wealthiest men in town wouldn't pay a cent." The Company recommended the purchase of a 2.5 ton Mack chassis with a Hale pump.
In summer of 1925, a triple combination pumper, chemical, and hose-ladder truck order was placed with the Hahn Company of Hamburg, PA totaling $6,300. Listed as a 1926 model, the Hahn arrived in December.
