Rescue Box 27-11

At 18:35 hours on June 1, Station 27 and Rescue 26 (Perkasie) were dispatched to the 300 block of South  Main St., for an MVA with one driver trapped in the vehicle.  Engine 27, Engine 27-1, and Tower 27 rerouted from training and Rescue 26 was on scene within minuets.  Chief 27 (Lindsay) took command  while the crews from both stations stabilized the vehicle and removed the doors and “B post” from the drivers side. The extrication was complete at 18:53 hours.  Engine 27 remained on scene until the vehicle was removed.


Agricultural Fire Awareness

On Tuesday June 1st, North Ridge Farms invited the department to train with the horses they board.  It was a learning experience for both firefighters and land owners.


Tactical Box 27-30

Thursday May 27, at 23:16 hours, Station 27 was dispatched to the 300 block of Progress Drive, to investigate the report of a possible fire in a junkyard. As more calls were received, the address was corrected to the 4600 block of Bethlehem Pike. Deputy 27 (Brennan) and Assistant 27 (Kelly) arrived on the scene and reported a fully involved barn attached to a three bay garage.

Department Orders New Engine

On Friday May 21st, Sellersville Fire Department signed a contract for a 2010 E-ONE Typhoon Engine.The truck was sold by Wes Saltz from Guardian Fire Equipment. The new engine will be the replacement for Engine 27, a 1985 Spartan FMC. The New engine will have a Hale 1750 GPM pump, 170 inch Wheelbase, 6 man cab, 10kw Smart Power generator, a Roto-Ray light on the front of the cab with the rest of the emergency warning lights being all LED. The truck will aslo have high side compartments on the drivers side and ladders above the low side compartments on the officers side. Delivery is expected towards the end of 2010.


Breakfast is a success!

500 people were served at the department’s semi-annual breakfast.  The breakfast committee would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Sellersville Fire Department.  


Bethlehem Pike Auto Extrication

At 17:56 hours, Engine 27-1 and Rescue 26 (Perkasie) were dispatched for an auto extrication on Bethlehem Pike by A&T Chevrolet. Shortly after dispatch Battalion Chief 27 (McDonald) arrived on location confirming a two vehicle accident with one driver confined inside their vehicle and the other driver had fled on foot. Upon arriving on scene Battalion Chief 27-1 (Wagner) split the engine crew to pull a line for fire protection and to stabilize the vehicle. The crew from Engine 27-1 preformed a quick door pop. The rescue company was made available upon arriving on location. Chief 27 (Lindsay) and Assistant Chief 27 (Kelly) were on location over seeing the operations.



Ladies Auxiliary 100th!

A thank you goes out to Sellersville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for all their hard work over the last 100 years.  Tonight they celebrated the anniversary of the organization with a banquet and ceremony.  A toast to 100 more years of your assistance!


Southampton Cover

At 16:00 hrs Engine 27-1 covered Station 2 (Southampton) as they celebrated their annual awards banquet untill 0:00 hrs.
