Engine Responds on Dwelling Fire

While enroute to a reported motor vehicle accident (MVA), Engine 27-1 was alerted by county for a reported dwelling fire in Station 59’s (Silverdale) first due.  Engine 27-1 was diverted to the dwelling fire when Battalion 27 (McDonald) and Assistant 27 (Kelly) reported there was no need for fire apparatus at the accident.  Chief 59 held the assignment to all 59 apparatus and Engine 27-1 was made available.


Tower 27 Covers Sta. 18

Tower 27 was dispatched to cover Station 18 (Quaketown) with MC Squad 65 (Pennsburg) at 13:20.



Truck and Brush Fire

While Engine 27-1 was assisting in the search for the source of a natural gas leak with Station 26 (Perkasie), the department was dispatched for a brushfire on the southbound side of 309, just north of Lawn Ave. Engine 27-1 responded from Walnut Street in Perkasie and responded to the brush fire. While responding, Captain 27 (Rotzell) was alerted for a secondary call for a dump truck fire on the southbound side of 309, south of Lawn Ave.

Basic Vehicle Rescue Training

In recent weeks the Sellersville Fire Department hosted a series of vehicle rescue classes. The class was also attended by members of Perseverance Fire Co., McKinley Fire Dept., and Milford Fire Dept.

Shed Fire

Tanker 27 was dispatched with Station 59 (Silverdale) to Brinkley Dr. for an outbuilding. Chief 59 reported a visible header a mile from the address.  The 10 x 12 shed was fully involved upon arrival and Engine 59-1 stretched two 1-3/4” hand lines. Tanker 27 supplied Engine 59 and assisted in truck operations with Montgomery County Tower 74.  


Motor Vehicle Accident

Engine 27 and Rescue 26 (Perkasie) were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) with entrapment. Upon Battalion 27-1’s (Wagner) arrival, there was no entrapment and the assignment was held to all 27 apparatus.     



Perkasie Garage Fire with Extension into House

Engine 27-1 was dispatched to respond with Station 26 (Perkasie) to a fire in Perkasie on Vine Street between 3rd and 4th Streets.  Fire was aggressively attacked by Engine 26 from the exterior and garage, while Engine 27-1 started interior operations.  Fire was knocked quickly and overhaul was conducted with the additional crews from Tower 27, Ladder 75, Squirt 18, and Engine 59. Special Service 86 provided refreshments.
