BETHLEHEM PIKE ACCIDENT

At 2115 hours, Station 27 was dispatched with Medic 151 for this accident on Bethlehem Pike in the area of Weikel Road in West Rockhill Township. While responding, BCR reported to Deputy 27 of possible entrapment in the 1 vehicle accident. Negative entrapment was found and the Department was available a short time later.

TANKER FILL SITE

Early this morning, Montgomery County units were dispatched for a large mulch fire at the 100 block of Cressman Road in Salford Township. Being a non-hydranted area, Tankers were used to bring water to the scene to extinguish the fire. Engine 27-1 was dispatched to Montgomery Station 72 of Tylersport to refill the Tankers. The Engine was at Tylersport’s Fire House for 3 hours filling 9 Tankers that came to be about 25,000 gallons.

2ND ALARM HILLTOWN HOUSE FIRE

At 2222 hours, the Hilltown Fire Company, Stations 60 and 61, were dispatched to the 1000 block of Azlen Lane in Hilltown Township for a reported house fire. Multiple callers were reporting a fully involved house with possible explosions from inside the house. Units arrived to confirm heavy fire and began going in service with their largest handlines and master streams. Engine 27-1 was added above the 2nd alarm at 2255 hours and when they arrived on scene reported to man power and were immediately put to work. Units were on scene for extended period of time, and Engine 27-1 went available for service at 0057 hours.

Engine Assists Telford

At 0024 hours, The Telford Fire Company was dispatched to the 4000 block of Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township for a report of a large mulch fire. Due to the size of the pile, Engine 27 and Engine 59 were dispatched at 0044 to assist with manpower. Crews worked to apply copious amounts of water, while a loader pulled apart the pile.

EXTRICATION IN FRONT OF SUELKES

At 1352 hours, Engine 27-1 was dispatched with the Medic for a 2 vehicle accident on Behtlehem Pike in West Rockhill Township. Chief 27 arrived and found that the passenger of one of the vehicles was trapped and required extrication. Rescue 18 was added to the assignment, while the Engine and Wagon’s crews made quick work of a door removal.

OVER TURNED VEHICLE

At 2224 hours, Medic 151 and Engine 27-1 were dispatched to Diamond Street and Glenwood Drive in Hilltown Township for a 1 vehicle accident. Assistant 27 arrived first to find 1 over turned vehicle with the drive self extricated. Engine 27-1 and Engine 27 responded simultaneously and when the arrived, secured the hazards on the vehicle, as well as assisted the Medic with patient care.

Southbound Route 309 Accident

Just before rush hour this morning, Engine 27-1 was dispatched with Engine 58 for a reported tractor trailer truck accident on the Southbound side of the 309 bypass, in the area of Ridge Road in Company 58’s coverage area. Chief 27 arrived first to find a tandem tractor trailer with 1 of the trailers overturned below Lawn Avenue in the 27-73 Box. Engine 27-1, Utility 27, and Engine 58 worked to secure the hazards, and awaited the heavy wrecker to upright the trailer. Fire Police remained on scene for extended period of time to keep the bypass closed.

WORKING FIRE IN THE BOROUGH

Early this morning, Sellersville Volunteers and mutual aid Departments were alerted to Main Street and Green Street in the Borough for a reported apartment fire. Chief 27 arrived to have fire showing from the C/D corner of the house and everyone reported to be out. Engine 27-1 arrived and stretched a line to extinguish a bulk of the fire. Due to the deck being compromised and the house being balloon construction, a secondary hand line was stretched from side A to be able to access the interior and extinguish the remaining fire.

Great job to all units working to keep the fire in check.

Units on scene: Engine 27-1, Tower 27, Tower 26, Rescue 26, Engine 59-1, Squirt 18, Engine 58 for RIT, as well as Medic 151, Montgomery Engine 75, Air 75, and Squad 72.
