At 4:56 PM on Thursday, July 20th, Tower 27 was dispatched on Rescue Box 76-28 to assist Perkasie Fire Company with a rescue at the Pennridge Airport. A skydiver was reported to be stuck in a tree, 35 feet above ground level. Crews from Rescue 26 and Tower 27 confirmed the skydiver was entangled in the parachute and the tree limbs.

After ensuring that air traffic was halted, the Tower was able to secure a position where the crew could reach the patient. The patient was removed from the parachute harness and safely lowered to the ground via the tower bucket. An awaiting EMS crew provided an evaluation of the patients condition.
