Early this morning Sellersville Volunteers, along with many other area Fire Companies, responded to multiple motor vehicle collisions due to icy road conditions caused by the over night dusting of snow.

The first being in the 1600 block of Bethlehem Pike in West Rockhill, involving2 vehicles that had hit head on. Battalion 27 (C. Pfaff) had come across the accident, advised no entrapment, and that ALS was needed for 1 patient. Rescue 27 arrived shortly after to control the hazards and initiated patient care until Medic 108 arrived to transport the patient.

An hour later Sellersville Volunteers, along with Rescue 26 (Perkasie), were dispatched for a reported auto extrication this time in the 1200 block of Bethlehem Pike in West Rockhill. Deputy 87 (A. Pfaff, Quakertown FD) was in the area and reported a 3 vehicle crash with 1 subject trapped and that a door pop was needed. Deputy 27 (Wilhelm) established Sellersville Command while Rescue 27 arrived to initiate the extrication. Rescue 26 arrived shortly after and stretched a booster line for fire suppression as the extrication was being completed.

Special thanks to West Rockhill Township Public Works for coming out to salt the road for us while we were operating.
