Built in 1972, this FMC John Bean demonstration unit was purchased in 1973 at a cost of $36,500, a deal from the orignal $41,000 price tag, and was put up for sale in 1999.
Following the 1988 engine's crash, "Casper" was re-equipped and put back into service. Today, all of our current apparatus have a form of Casper hand painted onto them.
Later sold to public works and then to the Mountain Road Vineyard in Alpha, NJ.
Information obtained from Timothy D. Hufnagle's book, "Sellersville, PA. a Tapestry Through Time 1738-2013"
