On Tuesday, August 4th, Sellersville and the surrounding area was hit hard by Tropical Storm Isaias. Many areas throughout the region received over 6 inches of rain in the mid morning hours, causing flooding from local waterways. Due to this flooding, the decision was made to evacuate all equipment from the firehouse, as Main Street was covered in water and became impassable. While apparatus was stationed on both ends of town, the department received numerous calls for water rescues and other incidents throughout the day. Over 20 people were rescued from their homes along Main Street.
