| Last night for our weekly Department training, we were joined by Stephen Miller and John Sileski from MES for a Hurst rescue tool demonstration.
John and Stephen brought an arsenal of rescue tools, commonly known as the “Jaws of Life,” for our Department to put through the paces in multiple extrication scenarios.
The current set of rescue tools on Rescue 27 are reaching the age of being obsolete on modern vehicle construction. Last night was a great first night of seeing what newer technology is available today for vehicle extrication.
Special thanks for Wilcox Salvage for providing the vehicles and the area in their yard for us to train!
The Sellersville Fire Department has been a 100% volunteer organization since 1888 and we are ALWAYS in need of more volunteers. Interested in volunteering and want to learn more? Stop by the fire house on any Tuesday night for more information. All of our members are Sellersville area residents just like you. |
