Shortly after 3:00 am, Engine and Tower 27 responded to the 1000 block of E Walnut Street in Silverdale Fire Company's section of Hilltown Township to assist with a fire in a store. The fire could have been much worse than it was, had it not been for functioning fire alarm and sprinkler systems. This incident was initially dispatched as an automatic fire alarm, which alerted first responders, and the sprinkler system activated to hold the fire to the point of origin. Crews from Sellersville FD assisted with fire suppression and overhaul before being released by Chief 59.
