June 17 at 19:00 hours, Station 27 was dispatched for a motorcycle accident on the 2000 block of Old Bethlehem Pike.  Battalion 27-1 (Wagner) arrived on scene and confirmed a motorcycle had struck the rear of a minivan, and requested Medevac be placed on standby.  Engine 27-1 and Medic 151 arrived and began patient care.  Engine 27 was assigned to the landing zone (L.Z.) at Lapps Landscaping, for the helicopter.  Battalion 27-1 moved the L.Z. to Bergey’s Vulcanizing and became the L.Z. officer.   Captain 27 (Rotzell) and the crew from Engine 27-1 remained on scene with the motorcycle and assisted with the cleanup until the tow truck arrived.  All crews were available at 19:59 hours.
