At 2222 hours, the Hilltown Fire Company, Stations 60 and 61, were dispatched to the 1000 block of Azlen Lane in Hilltown Township for a reported house fire. Multiple callers were reporting a fully involved house with possible explosions from inside the house. Units arrived to confirm heavy fire and began going in service with their largest handlines and master streams. Engine 27-1 was added above the 2nd alarm at 2255 hours and when they arrived on scene reported to man power and were immediately put to work. Units were on scene for extended period of time, and Engine 27-1 went available for service at 0057 hours.

Engine Assists Telford

At 0024 hours, The Telford Fire Company was dispatched to the 4000 block of Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township for a report of a large mulch fire. Due to the size of the pile, Engine 27 and Engine 59 were dispatched at 0044 to assist with manpower. Crews worked to apply copious amounts of water, while a loader pulled apart the pile.


Sellersville Beverage Donation

Last evening, Sellersville Beverage & Cigar (301 S. Main St. in the borough) presented the department with two checks totaling more than $3,000 which represented the proceeds from the July golf outing they hosted to benefit the department.

Just after 1800, Tower 27 was dispatched to cover Station 79 of the Doylestown Fire Company while they were operating on a 3 alarm fire in the 19-25 box. The Tower was back in Sellersville just shortly before 2300.

Wagon covers North Wales

At 1028 hours, Wagon 27 was alerted to cover Montgomery County Station 18, (Fire Department of Montgomery Townhip) while they were operating on a 2nd alarm at the Montgomery Mall. While responding, Wagon 27 was redirected to Station 62 of North Wales, to cover their local as well as Station 14 of Lansdale. Wagon was in North Wales for just under an hour before being released.

126th Anniversary - Station 26

Today, Command 1, Tower, Wagon, Utility, and the Antique participated in a fire apparatus muster at the Pennridge High School, to celebrate the Perkasie Fire Companies 126th anniversary.

Each apparatus won first place in their category, with the exception of the Utility winning 2nd. The Department also won a 1st place award for the best appearing Department.
