At 1352 hours, Engine 27-1 was dispatched with the Medic for a 2 vehicle accident on Behtlehem Pike in West Rockhill Township. Chief 27 arrived and found that the passenger of one of the vehicles was trapped and required extrication. Rescue 18 was added to the assignment, while the Engine and Wagon’s crews made quick work of a door removal. 




At 1346 hours, Station 27 was dispatched to standby at an accident with the Medic unit at the intersection of Old Bethlehem Pike and Forrest Road in West Rockhill Township for a 2 vehicle T-Bone type accident. Police arrived to find the accident on Bethlehem Pike with 1 person trapped in the vehicle. The assignment was upgraded to a Rescue bringing Montgomery Squad 72 (Tylersport) and Rescue 26. Engine 27-1 (Chief Wagner) arrived and split their crew to stabilize the vehicle and began to extricate the patient by taking the passenger side doors. Rescue 26 arrived next and began to work on the driver side. Crews then took the roof of the vehicle to complete the extrication. The patient was transported by Medic 339 to Bergey’s Tires where they were flown by helicopter to a trauma center. Squad 72 had the LZ.



At 0209 hours, Tactical Box 27-26 was transmitted for a reported camper fire in the 1000 block of Anna Lane in West Rockhill Township. The inital report was called in by a neighbor reporting hearing an explosion and a camper being fully involved. Utility and Engine 27-1 arrived on scene to confirm the report of a 24’ camper fully involved. The Utility (Chief 27) took command while Engine 27-1 stretched an 1” 3/4 smoothbore hand line to extinguish the fire. Tanker 58 supplied Engine 27-1 with water and assisted with overhaul. Ladder 18 and Wagon 27 stoodby in manpower.



Before 0530 hours, Rescue box 58-33 was transmitted for an auto extrication reported to be in the southbound lanes of the 309 bypass north of the Perkasie/Lawn Avenue Exit in West Rockhill Township. Beginning this year, this section of the bypass is now a Trumbauersville box that brought Engine 27-1 northbound and Rescue 18 southbound. Battalion 17 and Chief 27 arrived on scene and reported there to be initially no entrapment. Rescue 18 arrived on the southbound side and Engine 27-1 arrived on the northbound side and pulled a protection line. Engine 58 arrived to assist Rescue 18 with a door pop that was ultimately needed for patient access. The Engine company was available within the half hour.


Northbound 309 Car Fire

During the rush hour commute, Station 27 was dispatched for a reported car fire on the northbound side of the 309 bypass. Battalion 26 was first to arrive and reported the fire to be in the northbound lanes just before Rich Hill Road in West Rockhill Township. Wagon 27 arrived shortly after to make a quick knock of the fire. Engine 27-1, Utility 27, and Rescue 26 assisted as well.



First Call of 2015

For the first call of 2015, Engine 27-1 and Engine 26 were dispatched to the area of the Pennridge Regional Police Headquarters off Ridge Road for a report of a brush fire. A small unattended brush fire was discovered and was quickly handled by Engine 27-1 with a booster line.



Early Morning Garage Fire

Early Wednesday morning, Station 27 along with Tankers from Trumbauersville and Richlandtown were dispatched for a reported fully involved working barn fire. Upon Wagon 27’s arrival, a fully involved barn/garage was confirmed with major collapse already evident. Battalion 27 immediately initiated Catch Basin Command and ordered an aggressive exterior operation with the blitz fire and 2 1//2 inch attack line. Due to there being no hydrants in the area and the remote location, a tanker task force was dispatched along with other units for additional manpower. Multiple lines and blitz fires were put in service to extinguish the fire. Firefighters not only battled the fire, but as well as the fridgid cold weather that morning.




Forrest Road Outbuilding

Shortly after midnight, Tactical Box 27-23 was dispatched for a reported outbuilding on fire in the area of Forrest Road in West Rockhill Township. Chief and Assistant 27 went on scene with a 20x30 out building well involved. 3 additional Tankers and Engine 26 for manpower were requested due to no hydrants being in the area. Wagon 27 took the drive way and led off with a 2 1/2 inch hose line and stetched the blitzfire as a backup to knock the fire. Tankers 58 and Montgomery 72 supplied water to the Wagon to extinguish the fire. The fire is currently under invesigation by the Bucks County and PSP fire marshalls.
